Private Rehearsal Gatherings give a small group of people a behind-the-scenes look at the music, the people, and the mission of j209 Ministries. It’s an up-close view of how our message of hope comes to life.
Inspired by Jeremiah 20:9, j209 Ministries exists to help people find hope and belonging in Jesus Christ, especially young adults and youth who feel alone, overlooked, or disconnected from God. Through inspiring music and media, powerful Christ-centered experiences, and authentic stories of faith, we help people discover that they are known by name and loved by God, inviting them to take one step closer to Jesus Christ.
Through our vocal band on a mission, known by name, we bring inspiring music and a message of hope to communities across the United States and around the world.

known by name is a Christian vocal band dedicated to helping people discover the hope of Jesus Christ and the truth that they are seen, known, and loved by God. Through uplifting music, inspiring live performances, and authentic digital content, the group creates experiences that encourage faith, foster belonging, and invite people to draw closer to Christ.
As a ministry initiative of j209 Ministries, known by name creates Christ-centered spaces where young adults, youth, and individuals of all faith backgrounds can gather, worship, build meaningful relationships, and grow in their faith. Through concerts, ministry partnerships, collaborations, and community outreach, known by name seeks to help people find hope and belonging in Jesus Christ, and remind every person that Jesus knows their name and is calling them closer.

Four ways to join the mission.
1 - Give to the mission
Your gift keeps the music ministry going. It helps fund rehearsals, concerts, travel, audio video production, and more, so known by name can keep showing up for the people who need to hear this message most.

2 - Partner with us

Open your venue, your school, or your business to a known by name concert or gathering, or sponsor an event or season of ministry. Hosts and sponsors help us bring live music and a message of hope to more people, and we’ll handle the rehearsal, program, and production details with you.

Church leaders, school administrators, nonprofit directors, and civic leaders: we would love to explore how known by name can serve your community. Whether it’s a school assembly, a church service, or a community event, we’ll work with you to create a program that fits your people and your setting.

Not every gift is financial. Venues, sound and production equipment, printing, travel, lodging, meals, and professional services all help stretch our resources further. If you have something to offer, we would be glad to talk about how it could serve the mission.

Prayer is the foundation of everything we do. Whether you pray for ten seconds or ten minutes, it matters. Pray for the people we hope to reach, that they will feel seen, known, and loved; everyone doing this work; the right doors to open and for us to find the right partners at the right time; our families, our travel, and our rehearsals.
